The 2009 AAC By the Bay conference will focus on issues and strategies related to education and communication of users of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), including students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Plenary and concurrent sessions feature internationally and nationally known leaders in AAC including Sarah Blackstone, Pat Mirenda, Caroline Musselwhite, Martine Smith, Gloria Soto, Mary Hunt-Berg, Joan Sharp, Stephanie Taymuree, Holly Hamilton, Elisa Kingsbury, Aileen Arai, and Patrick Brune.

Dr. Pat Mirenda will offer a plenary session and conduct workshops all day Saturday, September 19th with the focus on AAC supports for students with autism and problem behavior.
