Students in Action

Our October festivities continued with one of our favorite celebrations, Halloween! Students and staff alike shared their Halloween spirit by arriving to school dressed in full costume. Our morning began with our traditional costume parade. Students danced together to the tune of The Monster Mash before parading throughout our classrooms and garden. Next came the costume judging where everyone was a winner receiving special certificates and prizes. The fun continued with pumpkin decorating. Each student chose whacky wigs, masks, teeth, eyes, and costume accessories to create silly pumpkins. The students spent the rest of the day reading Halloween stories, enjoying Halloween games, and playing occasional tricks on their teachers.

Adam made the perfect firefighter.

Veterinarian Abigail, paraded through the garden with Ms. Joy who was sporting her Tinker Bell costume.

San Francisco 49er Aidan played “hot potato pumpkin” with Ms. Dana.

Collin, SpongeBob Squarepants, and Ms. Suzanne engage in Halloween mischief!

Will and Ms. Mahea loved the Halloween story.

Jackie showed off her beautiful witch costume as she smiled for the judges.

Jet, AKA Buzz Lightyear, is going to infinity and beyond!

Job, of ‘Where’s Waldo?’ fame, played scary Halloween sounds from all over the world.

Raul was a ninja and Ms. Laura made a great Cat in the Hat.

Harry Potter, otherwise known as Roman, arrived at school ready to practice magic.
