Application Submission Process
Prior to submitting an application, it is critical to determine that a prospective applicant is an eligible Bridge School candidate.
Once it has been determined, through the screening process, that your child meets our essential eligibility criteria, family members and school district representatives may be asked to accompany your child for a site visit to The Bridge School. This visit takes place during school hours. The purpose of this site visit is to provide an opportunity for you and our staff to briefly observe your child in our classroom environment and to discuss your child’s educational needs relative to our program and anticipated classroom opening. During this visit, you and your child will be able to observe our classroom programs in action. Your child may be encouraged to briefly participate in an ongoing curricular activity and/or interact with our students and staff. Following this site visit, you may be invited to submit a full application.
A completed application includes the following:
- A completed Application Form along with relevant educational and medical records.
- VHS or digital video recording (DV tape, CD, or DVD) with examples of the prospective student that demonstrates how the child interacts and communicates with others.
- For suggestions to help you determine the content of your video and videotaping tips, visit Recommended Content of Application Video.
